The Degrade dial is not a flat surface — it is a radial colour field that transitions from a luminous centre to the absolute black of the edges. The effect changes with every angle of light: warmer under the morning sun, more electric under artificial light, deeper at dusk. No two moments ever look the same.
The inspiration draws from the avant-garde watchmaking of the 1970s, when the great houses began to treat the dial as an object in its own right — not merely a backdrop for hands and indices. Aryon takes that conviction and expresses it through colour: the most immediate, personal, and lasting design decision a watch can make.
Faceted hour markers and hands filled with Super-LumiNova C1 ensure perfect legibility in any light condition, glowing with the same clarity by day or after dark. The sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on the inner face, keeps the view of the dial pure and distortion-free — every shade of the gradient visible exactly as intended, from any angle. The Aryon triangular logo at 12 o'clock is the sole identity mark on the dial — discreet, but unmistakable.
The Degrade Automatic case is built in 316L stainless steel, the same grade used in marine and surgical applications, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to hold a sharp, lasting finish. Its octagonal architecture — eight clean facets meeting at precise angles — gives the watch a distinct silhouette on the wrist, one that catches the light differently with every movement.
At 38mm in diameter and 12mm thick, the case strikes a deliberate balance: substantial enough to feel present, compact enough to sit naturally on any wrist. The bracelet integrates directly into the case at the lugs, with no visible gap or transition — case and bracelet read as a single continuous form.
The Degrade Automatic is not only a design object. Inside beats the Miyota 8215, one of the most reliable Japanese automatic movements in the world. It winds itself through the natural motion of the wrist, accumulating up to 42 hours of power reserve — nearly two full days of autonomy.
The exhibition caseback in high-hardness mineral crystal turns the reverse of the watch into a second showcase: the custom rotor, engraved with the Aryon triangular emblem, rotates visibly over the movement. The back of the watch is as much a part of the design as the dial.
