The dial as sculpture.

 The Waves collection draws from the avant-garde watch design movement of the 1970s and brings it into the 21st century: a three-dimensional dial with a liquid wave relief, an automatic movement visible through the sapphire caseback, and four editions with their own distinct identity. The dial of the Waves collection is a three-dimensional relief with a liquid wave pattern that shifts with every change of light. In the morning, under natural light, the crests cast shadows that are entirely different from those of the evening. Indoors, the effect is subtler but equally present.

The inspiration draws from the avant-garde design movement of the 1970s, when leading studios began treating the watch dial as a sculptural object rather than a simple time-reading surface. Aryon takes that legacy and reinterprets it with contemporary materials and precision.

Faceted baton hands in polished silver-tone glide across the textured surface, catching the light with clean, bright reflections against the coloured ground. A white lacquered small-seconds subdial sits at 7 o'clock, floating cleanly above the relief and bringing quiet balance to the composition. The sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating, keeps the view of the dial pure and distortion-free, letting every crest and hollow of the wave pattern read exactly as intended, from any angle. The Aryon triangular logo at 12 o'clock is the sole identity mark on the dial — discreet, but unmistakable.

The 70-hour machine

The Aryon Waves is not only a design object. At its heart beats the Hangzhou 7010A calibre, a precision automatic movement that winds itself through the natural motion of the wrist — and also accepts manual winding when desired. With a power reserve of 70 hours, it remains running for nearly three days without needing to be wound.

The mineral crystal caseback turns the reverse of the watch into a window onto the mechanism: the rotor with its côtes de Genève finish and the engraved triangular Aryon logo rotate visibly over the movement, with its jewels and gold-tone components on full display. The back of the watch is as much a part of the design as the dial.

The Waves strap is not an off-the-shelf accessory. It has been designed specifically for the Aryon Waves’ own attachment system, in which an independent metal piece locks directly into the centre of the case and acts as the strap anchor point. This solution, exclusive to the Waves architecture, requires a strap of precise geometry that cannot be replaced by any standard market strap.

Made from quality cowhide leather with matching stitching, its natural texture improves with wear. Each edition features a strap in a colour coordinated with the dial, creating a fully cohesive aesthetic from case to clasp.

The clasp is a pin buckle in brushed stainless steel with the name ARYON engraved in relief — the same finish as the case. A brand identity detail that sets each piece apart even in its least visible elements.
