The mechanical heart

Inside beats the Miyota 8315, built by Citizen Watch Co. It winds itself through the natural motion of the wrist and can also be wound by hand, accumulating around 60 hours of power reserve — it keeps running for two and a half days off the wrist. It runs at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) on 21 jewels, with stop-seconds for precise time-setting. Miyota has since discontinued this calibre, which makes each Nature quietly more exclusive with time. The mineral-glass exhibition caseback turns the reverse of the watch into a second showcase, with the movement and your individual serial number in full view.

Built to be kept

The 40mm case is machined from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. A sapphire crystal protects the dial; the solid 316L bracelet closes with a 316L butterfly clasp. Five atmospheres of water resistance. The clean dial carries no numerals — only the engraved triangular Aryon logo and a discreet date window. Every piece is individually inspected before it leaves us.
