The dial as sculpture. The Waves collection draws from the avant-garde watch design movement of the 1970s and brings it into the 21st century: a three-dimensional dial with a liquid wave relief, an automatic movement visible through the sapphire caseback, and four editions with their own distinct identity.
The octagonal 316L stainless steel case, with its sharp angular cuts and combined brushed-polished finish, frames the dial without competing with it. Geometry in service of the dial.
The Waves dial breaks from the flat convention entirely. It is a three-dimensional relief with a liquid wave pattern that genuinely rises and falls across the dial plate, rather than a printed surface. The effect shifts with every change of light. The relief catches the light from every angle.
Lance-style hands in polished steel mark the hours and minutes, each fitted with a fine Super-LumiNova C1 strip running through the centre for legibility in low light. Both faceted to catch the light against the wave relief beneath them.
A white lacquered subdial at the 7 o'clock position houses the small seconds, floating above the main relief on a slender silver-tone hand.
The Waves case is built in 316L stainless steel, the same grade used in marine and surgical applications. Its octagonal architecture, with sharp, defined angular cuts at each facet, gives the watch a distinct geometric presence — one that frames the dial without ever competing with it.
At 42mm in diameter and 11mm thick, the case is sized for genuine wrist presence while remaining balanced and wearable. The combined brushed-and-polished finish runs across every surface: vertically brushed planes for texture and depth, mirror-polished bevels at the edges to catch and redirect the light. The contrast is what keeps the case alive in every wrist — never flat, always responding to its surroundings.
The Aryon Waves is not only a design object. At its heart beats the Hangzhou 7010A calibre, a precision automatic movement that winds itself through the natural motion of the wrist — and also accepts manual winding when desired. With a power reserve of 70 hours, it remains running for nearly three days without needing to be wound.
The mineral crystal caseback turns the reverse of the watch into a window onto the mechanism: the rotor with its luxury finish and the triangular Aryon logo rotate visibly over the movement. The back of the watch is as much a part of the design as the dial.
The Waves strap is not an off-the-shelf accessory. It has been designed specifically for the Aryon Waves’ own attachment system, in which an independent metal piece locks directly into the centre of the case and acts as the strap anchor point. This solution, exclusive to the Waves architecture, requires a strap of precise geometry.
Made from quality cowhide leather with matching stitching, its natural texture improves with wear. Each edition features a strap in a colour coordinated with the dial, creating a fully cohesive aesthetic.
The clasp is a pin buckle in brushed stainless steel with the name ARYON engraved in relief. A brand identity detail that sets each piece apart even in its least visible elements.
